Stephen J Larocque
Mr. Larocque has over 30 years of experience in architecture, interiors and urban planning and is the principal client contact and manager for the practice. Prior to the formation of Larocque Architecture & Planning, Mr. Larocque held various design and management leadership positions in architecture and urban planning; including; as a Senior Manager for a large Architecture/Engineering firm that focused on municipal, state and Department of Defense projects; as the Director of Planning and Community Development for a municipality in New Hampshire; as the Operations Manager for the Boston office of a large interior design firm based in the Midwest; and as the Chief Field Architect for a large university housing development in the Middle East.
Mr. Larocque is a licensed architect in over 10 states, is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), and is certified by the National Institute of Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ). He is also a licensed construction supervisor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
He received his Master’s Degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation, with a focus on Housing & Urban Development and Real Estate Development. Mr. Larocque received his professional degree in architecture, his Bachelor of Architecture, from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from RISD.
He resides in Weston, Massachusetts, with his wife and three children, where he has been an active volunteer for nearly 25 years. He is presently a member of the Weston Zoning Board of Appeals, and is Chairman of the Weston Town Center Planning Committee, involved in the leadership team for this 19 million dollar rehabilitation of Weston’s Town Center. He was previously the Chairman of Weston’s Recreation Center project; a multi-generational facility for the Council on Aging and Recreation Departments, and has also participated on the boards of local religious and community-based organizations. Mr. Larocque also served as the Vice President for Membership for the Massachusetts Chapter of NAIOP.
